Gotta Love Videogames

I’ve spent my entire life playing videogames

That sounds rather bad but I’m pretty sure every person I’ve known can say that or at least that a huge chunk of their lives did involve video games. Those around my age grew up in the days of Sega vs Nintendo and fondly remember when video game magazines would pit Mario against Sonic and contemplate how these behemoth game companies would someday rule the world. We grew up and watched the evolution of Sega Master System to Genesis to Saturn and NES to SNES to N64 to Gamecube and now Wii & WiiU. Playstation appeared out of nowhere as a Dark Horse and confused us all by stealing Final Fantasy 7 away from being a Nintendo exclusive. I think you can see where all of this is going… I don’t really need to give you all a bastardized history lesson in video games.

Instead, what I’d like to do for my semi-regular Monday Video post is post this YouTube clip from 2010 by Dara Ó Briain about his love for video games. I think we can all relate to this one on some level…

Dara Ó Briain Live at the Apollo – I Love Videogames

Hope you enjoyed that. For more video, check out the Video category here and regularly check back on Mondays when I post new videos I’ve run across which amuse me. If you’d like to leave a comment, do so below or email us at and don’t forget to join us over on Facebook.
